When my daughter was born in 2023, I instinctively reached for the product I grew up with - a thick, multipurpose balm that had been a staple in our Eastern European household for generations. My mum used it on me for everything: everyday moisturising, nappy changes, dry patches, cradle cap, baby eczema - you name it. It wasn't fancy. It was simply something that worked.
I used it on my daughter from her very first days and her skin stayed soft, calm and beautifully clear - just as baby skin should be.
But the original was hard to find in Australia and I knew I could make it even better. With my love for skincare and a deep connection to my heritage, I set out to refine the balm passed down through my family. I honoured the original - keeping its rich, effective base - while making thoughtful improvements: removing a few ingredients I didn't love and adding gentle, skin-loving additions like calming fermented oat extract and soothing chamomile water.
After more than a year of development and countless iterations, I landed on a formulation that felt just right - simple, multipurpose and deeply comforting. That's when BebaSkin was born.
By the time my son arrived in early 2025, my own formulation was part of our daily routine for both children. It became our family staple.
Soon, friends, family and even health professionals were all asking the same thing: "What are you using on their skin?" That's when it clicked - I had something worth sharing.
